In what cases should you use it?
The body's estrogen-degrading mechanisms sometimes fail to cope with the load placed on them, so the body signals that something is wrong in the form of various symptoms. In such cases, the solution may be the support of these estrogen-degrading processes. An active ingredient known and widely used in the Western world called calcium-D-glucarate can help with this.
Those non-natural toxic compounds, so-called environmental estrogens / hormone modulators, which mimic estrogenic hormones when they enter the body. They deceive the body with this, because their effect is only estrogen-like, and their harmful effect is also manifested in the fact that they block estrogen receptors from real estrogens.
How is WTN HormoTOXTM advanced compared to other products with a similar purpose?
- It has a much wider spectrum of action than monocomponent preparations containing only calcium D-glucarate.
- The concentration of calcium D-glucarate is typically higher than most products on the market.
- It can support not only the elimination of toxins, but also the regeneration of the intestinal mucosa, thanks to its additional beneficial active ingredients.
- In addition to detoxifying the liver and intestines, it can also strengthen the excretory function of the kidneys.
Why and how does the product work?
To understand the working mechanism of WTN HormoTOXTM, it is worth starting from the degradation pathways of estrogens and environmental estrogens that act as estrogens, and their weak points.
1. During estrogen breakdown, 3 types of metabolites are produced in the type I detoxification phase (in the liver). The 16 alpha-OH and 4-OH metabolites can be harmful, while 2-OH is harmless, so it is worth moving the entire degradation process in this direction.
2. Indole-3-carbinol and the resulting diindolylmethane have a favorable effect because they move the decomposition process towards the generation of harmless 2-OH in the type I detoxification phase.
3. The 4-OH metabolite is the most harmful of all, and the quinones produced by oxidation must be neutralized by the body with glutathione. Otherwise, they can cause problems.
4. The II. type detoxification phase, methylation plays one of the main roles, because after that the metabolites become water-soluble, so they can be easily excreted from the body. The WTN Methyl spectrum supports the so-called COMT enzyme so that these degradation processes are efficient. It is important to know that magnesium is also necessary for the functioning of the COMT enzyme.
5. After that, part of the decomposition products can undergo two other chemical reactions (glucuronidation and sulfation), then it is excreted in the urine and/or it enters the colon with bile acids.
6. Some of the bacteria living in the colon are called produces beta-glucuronidase enzyme. And this enzyme breaks the chemical bond between the water-soluble estrogen and toxin breakdown products that are about to be discharged. As a result, free estrogen is produced again, which the body can reabsorb. This either further increases an existing estrogen dominance, or if the concentration of estrogen in the body is already low, then a favorable effect is exerted by the fact that estrogens are not eliminated from the body.
Note: increased beta-glucuronidase activity is associated with an increased risk of malignancy. If someone's diet is high in fat and low in fiber, it can increase beta-glucuronidase activity, while Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium infantis bacteria strains decrease it.
7. The calcium D-glucarate in WTN HormoTOXTM blocks the beta-glucuronidase enzyme produced by certain bacteria, thus supporting the elimination of hormones and hormone-like toxins. Its use is therefore recommended in a state of estrogen dominance and/or in the excessive presence of hormones (toxins).
Important: calcium D-glucarate does not participate in glucuronidation reactions in the liver. Glucuronic acid and gluconic acid (from calcium D-gluconate) are two different substances that are similar only in name. Calcium D-glucarate exerts its beneficial physiological effects in the large intestine.
Since the kidneys also play an important role in the elimination of decomposition products, we used celery leaf extract standardized for apigenin. By the way, apigenin is a versatile, beneficial compound.
The chitosan in WTN HormoTOXTM reduces inflammation mediated by endotoxins and microbes and has a positive effect on the intestinal microbiome.
White mallow root and red elm bark concentrates were used to regenerate the intestinal mucosa and reduce possible irritation.
When do I need which product?
It depends on the individual situation, but as a starting point we suggest the following:
1. By default, the methylation processes should be supported first, e.g. with WTN Methyl Spektrum.
2. If this does not bring enough improvement, then it is worth turning on WTN HormoTOXTM.
3. In case of severe estrogen dominance conditions, the use of WTN Indole-3-Carbinol is recommended together with WTN Methyl Spektrum and WTN HormoTOXTM.
How can you reduce the burden of excess estrogen on your body?
Avoid harmful environmental estrogens
As much as possible, avoid toxins and environmental estrogens (also known as xenoestrogens) that have a harmful effect on the body, which can bind to estrogen receptors and stimulate them, but their effect is different from that of estrogens.
Use beneficial plant (phyto) estrogens
Eating phytoestrogens found in certain plants can help eliminate excess estrogen. It is advisable to use them in harmony with the functioning of the menstrual cycle (in the first half of the cycle)
Such phytoestrogens e.g. lignans (from legume), ligustilide (from Chinese angelica root), chrysin (from flavonoid, propolis), isoflavones (from red testicle), etc.
Unload your liver
During estrogen breakdown, estrogens from the blood go to the liver, where an enzyme breaks them down, and then their breakdown products are excreted in the bile into the intestine, from where they leave the body.
Relieving the burden of the liver is therefore also of utmost importance from this point of view, because its overload can itself cause estrogen dominance, since it cannot break down excess estrogen.
Support your main estrogen-degrading enzyme
One of the weak points of the natural estrogen degradation process taking place in the liver is II. phase, binds to the so-called COMT enzyme. This enzyme works with poor efficiency if the so-called methylation processes do not work well, or if there is not enough magnesium available, therefore magnesium supplementation is extremely important.
Strengthen your intestinal flora
Estrobol, an enzyme produced by bacteria in the intestine, also breaks down estrogen, which can be considered a secondary estrogen breakdown.
When there is an imbalance in the intestinal flora and not enough decomposing enzymes are produced, estrogen can be reabsorbed by the body.
